Factional leader of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa has said that he intends to go to the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja on Friday, May 19, despite alleged threats from the other faction.

Speaking in an interview on Arise TV morning show, on Thursday, May 18, Apapa accused presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and Julius Abure, the suspended leader of the attack meted at him at the court.

Prior to the court hearing, Apapa had confronted director general of Peter Obi’s presidential campaign council, Akin Osuntokun over court seat and recognition as the Labour Party official.

Also moment after the court adjourned the case, alleged supporters of the factional party booed and mocked Lamidi Apapa.

As he made his way to his car, a large crowd gathered around him and taunted him, shouting ole ‘thief’, causing police officers to pull him away from the scene.

Reacting to the incident, Apapa expressed sadness at the incident, saying he would have died if he wasn’t whisked away from the crowd.

However, he noted that he is an Obidient, and that he believes in Peter Obi’s mandate.
