Activist, Aisha Yesufu has tackled Nigerians who continue to weep about the hardships and economic situations of the country.

She bemoaned the lackadaisical attitude of the people who either sold their votes or refused to vote during the 2023 elections.

Yesufu stated that she has no sympathy for the suffering of Nigerians, accusing them of putting themselves in such a position.

She said, “What we are going through right now, is as a result of us wanting to experience suffering. And if that is what we want, who are we to prevent people from experiencing it.

Nigerians are not learning anything, instead, they are waiting for God to come and solve their problems. Meanwhile, God has given them everything to become a great nation.

Even during elections, Nigerians are not taking it seriously. So, am I supposed to feel pity for someone who either did not vote, sold their vote, or proudly says, ’oh I don’t do politics, I’m not interested in politics. Politics is dirty,’ yet that person is coming to tell you, ‘I can’t pay school fees.’

How is that my business? Have you forgotten that through politics, the people who will provide your children with a good quality education are supposed to come from, and you refused to vote and campaign for them? As a result, the people who eventually get into office are the ones who loot and steal your money.”
