Nigerian content creator and digital streamer Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe, has sparked online debate after publicly challenging Grammy-winning musician Wizkid to an unscripted boxing match.

Speaking during an appearance on Yanga FM, the streamer stated that he is willing to step into the ring with the Afrobeats megastar without receiving an appearance fee, provided event promoters pay Wizkid $1 million to accept the bout.

"Make them no even pay any money, I swear to God, make them pay Wizkid 1 million dollars, make them con say Oya go and follow Carter Efe, make them no give me single kobo," Carter Efe declared during the broadcast.

The creator expressed full confidence in winning the potential fight, humorously pointing to the singer's lifestyle as his tactical advantage.

Beyond the fight challenge, Carter Efe addressed his lingering feud with the singer, claiming that his 2022 breakout chart-topping single Machala—a tribute song dedicated to Wizkid—ultimately elevated both of their careers.

"Me and Wizkid share glory, I drop Machala, the song enter number 1, even though say na me make money why he no fit acknowledge me?" he said, adding that Wizkid's refusal to publicly acknowledge the tribute led him to withdraw his own public support for the singer. "As he no acknowledge me, me sef no acknowledge am again."

Closing his remarks, the streamer urged combat sports promoters to organize the event: "Make them carry Wizkid come Chaos in the Ring, make we fight."

The 'Machala' Song Controversy

Released in July 2022 alongside Berri Tiga, Machala became an instant viral hit across West Africa, topping Apple Music Nigeria charts.

However, the track was briefly pulled from streaming platforms due to copyright ownership, revenue-sharing disputes between Carter Efe and Berri Tiga, and licensing issues regarding Wizkid's likeness and brand name.
