Activist Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink, has expressed how difficult it is for other tribes to own property in Igbo land.
This was after a social media user lamented that rioters and protesters have destroyed the businesses of foreigners as a result of an Igbo man crowning himself king in South Africa.
@mobilisingniger said, "We went to another man’s country only to go there and install a King, South Easterners needs to understand why people hostile against them, it is not out of place of jealousy, but a place to keep their history and tradition together, people must learn to respect locals and their traditions. Do to others what you want them to do to you."
Reacting, Segalink shared on X, "I don’t even understand the needless overreach on foreign soil. I don’t know of any tribe or foreign entity allowed to own property in the SE let alone crown a King for themselves. What we won’t accept must never be done to others."
