An official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said "I don't know" when asked where he got the pre-filled election results for the governorship election in Kogi State.

The official at the electoral appeared to be lost when he was apprehended by some voters in the state.

This comes after YIAGA Africa, Africa's frontline non-profit organization promoting participatory democracy, human rights and civic participation published two result sheets that showed the APC scored 200 votes in the PU 004, Eni Ward of Ogori/magongo in Kogi state and 530 in PU 020, Eika/Ohizenyi, Okehi LGA of Kogi state.

"Dear @inecnigeria we received report of pre-filled results sheet discovered in PU 004, Eni Ward of Ogori/magongo in Kogi state before commencement of voting. Kindly investigate and address this issue promptly to safeguard the integrity of the process," the post on X reads.

On his part, Dino Melaye, the Kogi State Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alleged that result sheets have been prefilled and tampered with in all polling units located in the Ogori/Magongo local government area of the state.

Melaye also said that there are massive protests in the units, as voters have refused to be accredited, insisting that the plain result sheets should be made available for the electorate in the area.
