I did not collect any money from APC; I challenge you to provide evidence – Lamidi Apapa

Factional leader of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa has denied claims he took money from the All Progressives Congress, APC in his attempt to assume leadership role of the party.

Her challenged any faction to provide proof that he has received any money from other political parties.

“I want to repeat it to the entire world, I did not collect a kobo from anybody, and if anybody has evidence to proof, let that person come forward and show the whole world that this is how much I have collected.”

When asked if he wrote any letter with intentions to withdraw court cases and change legal counsel of some Labour Party candidates, Apapa said it is a lie and the claims are false.

“I have never written a letter to any of the Tribunals in Nigeria of regarding withdrawal of cases.

“That’s a lie. If I want to write a letter to any lawyer, don’t I have my own signature to sign? I a, telling you this, It is a lie. Its nothing but manipulation. That letter was not emanated from me. Don’t you know my name, don’t I have my own signature? It is a lie. They are just doing that to blackmail me. It is not true. If anyone is doing that in my name, it is not true,” he said this during an interview on Arise Television on Thursday, May 18.

Lamidi Apapa also said he intends to go to the Appeal Court on Friday, May 19, despite alleged threats from supporters who booed him and called him thief as he made his way to the car moment after the case was adjourned on Wednesday.

A large crowd at gathered around Lamidi Apapa with voices chanting ‘ole ole’ at the fational leader of the party.

He was immediately escorted by policemen. However, he accused the presidential candidate, Peter Obi and suspended Chairman, Julius Abure of masterminding the attack on him.
