Nigerians on a daily base accuse politicians of being double-faced in the wake of the real issues affecting the state.

On social media, political commentators and celebrities have in one way or another made some ill comments about a politician they dislike but make a u-turn moments later and vice versa.

This scenario played out again as Reno Omokri, a former special assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan who commended the achievements of former Governor Peter Obi in an old video that has resurfaced and gone viral.

In the video, Omokri applauded Peter Obi's effort in changing the fortunes of Anambra State.

He said: You know I just want to tell you, I am with my friend Governor Peter Obi. We are in DC for the national prayer breakfast.

But you see, I listen to this man, ex-Governor Peter Obi, the plans, the ideas he has. You know, this man raised the bar of leadership in Nigeria. Since he left office, can you believe that this man (Obi) doesn’t take a penny from the Anambra State government?

While he was there, he was the man that built up Anambra State. You know Anambra state used to be almost educational disadvantaged and in less than 2 years, he brought them to be number one. He left that state with a reserve.

You know we need people like this. I am so proud of Governor Obi. I listened to him today and was touched. I was like do we have fellows like this in Nigeria?

Look, he made money for himself in the private sector, he made money for Anambra state in government. Anambra State doesn’t borrow money, are you aware of that?

The video which has caused a stir on social media since was shared on the official Instagram handle of popular blogger Tunde Ednut. It comes after Omokri said he preferred Vice President, Atiku Abubakar to be the president aspirant of the party in the 2023 polls.
