I am proud of Peter Obi - Ex-Anambra Governor Chris Ngige

Former Anambra state Governor and Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige has said that he is proud of Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

Speaking in an interview with Channels Television, Ngige noted that although Peter Obi disagreed with him on infrastructure, he is proud of what he accomplished as Governor.

According to him, Peter Obi built Anambra state on his foundation which he couldn't finish during his tenure.

Naming some of the things he did in Anambra state while a seating Governor, Ngige mentioned; infrastructure, governance, he put salaries on first line charge, finished accumulated arears, put security back in place among many others.

When asked how difficult it is to support his party's presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu as against Peter Obi now that his people are clamouring for a Igbo president, he said that he is currently not active in politics as he is facing a national assignment.

Ngige who decline to state his preferred candidate said his choice will be on the ballot.

He applauded Bola Tinubu for restructuring Lagos state and its governance. However, he noted that both Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi are his friends but will not disclose who he will vote for in the 2023 election.

Following his interview, Nigerians have since taken to social media to react.

I understand, not everyone has the balls to Asiwaju who has always been at the fore front of inheriting people enemy to himself.
He supported Buhari and many regions haven't forgiven him till today.
Ganduje has Kwankwaso as his brother but stands in front of Asiwaju campaign.

I know you might still vote APC and your followers as well, but I understand you dont want to be on the other side of history that you plotted against your kinsmen presidency that has long been advocated for.

Arc Oj-Ojo: He's not. Why is he meandering over nothing? He's a chieftain of the APC,a minister under it Govt,an high ranking & respected member of the party so why is it difficult for him to state where he belong?
