I am a monarch for all religions - Oba Ladoja

The new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has introduced himself as a king for all faiths and societal levels.

During a thanksgiving ceremony at the Church of the Ascension in Ibadan on Sunday, September 28, the 44th Olubadan pledged to serve all residents of the historic city impartially.

Oba Ladoja, who was officially installed by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde at Mapo Hall on Friday, September 26, reaffirmed his dedication to fostering peace, driving progress, and enhancing the development of Ibadan.

‎‎“We are all governing Ibadan. I’m just the coordinator. You people are the small Olubadan; I’m the big Olubadan,” Oba Ladoja said.

‎‎”Ibadan will be great by God’s grace with your support. I’m now king of all religions. Ibadan is a fertile land; it shall continue to be well with Ibadan.

‎‎“I’m Olubadan for all, and the success of my reign will not be mine alone but that of the Olubadan-in-Council and the entire people of Ibadanland,” he said.
