Fulham defender Calvin Bassey has picked his Premier League debut as the best moment of his professional career.

Bassey, 25, joined Fulham from Ajax in the summer of 2023 on a four-year deal, with a reported fee of around €21 million.

The Super Eagles defender made his Premier League debut in Fulham’s 3-0 home defeat to Brentford on August 19, 2023.

In a recent interaction with his agency, Unique Sports Group UK, Bassey disclosed that playing in the Premier League has always been his dream since childhood.

"Making my debut in the Premier League. As a child, I always dreamt of playing in the Premier League. So, to be able to achieve it was a big moment for me and one I cherish."

"I think, as every footballer will say, after about two or three weeks, you start to miss it. For me, the motivation for the new season is always wanting to be better than the last season; that in itself should motivate you to want to be the best version of yourself."
