Hushpuppi’s trial suspended till May 2021 over coronavirus pandemic

The trial of Nigerian socialite, Raymond Igbalode popularly known as Hushpuppi is scheduled to continue next year due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

This comes after his arrest in Dubai by Interpol in June. This suspension means he will spend the rest of the year in U.S jurisdiction. His trial was originally scheduled for October 13.

Hushpuppi has denied the money laundering charges levelled against him.

According to the orders of a district judge in California, Otis Wright, the trial will continue in May 4, 2021.

Meanwhile, popular Nigerian singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, aka as Terry G, has urged Nigerians to pray for Ray Hushpuppi following his arrest.

In a post which appeared to have been deleted from his official Instagram page, Terry G revealed to his over 1.1million fans that why they should pray for Hushpuppi.

“None of us is clean nor perfect, all we pray is for God to bo our asiri… pray for him” he wrote.
