Popular Yoruba Nollywood actress and filmmaker Wumi Toriola has pushed back against social media critics after being called out over a daring white outfit she wore to her colleague Habeeb Alagbe's 40th birthday celebration in Ikeja, Lagos.
The actress made headlines when video clips surfaced showing her arrival at the star-studded party wearing a white ensemble featuring a deep, plunging neckline.
The video quickly sparked debate online, with several commentators accusing her of wearing an overly revealing outfit for a public gathering.
Refusing to apologize or yield to the public backlash, Toriola posted a brief response on her social media page, letting critics know she remained completely unbothered by their opinions.
"I see all your comments o. E mura si o," Toriola reacted, using a Yoruba phrase that translates to "Keep it up" or "Brace yourselves for more."
Despite critics labeling the outfit indecent and unbefitting, the actress's defiant response makes it clear she stands firmly by her style choice.
The 40th birthday celebration brought together several prominent Yoruba movie industry figures in Lagos, including veteran actresses Peju Ogunmola, Faithia Williams, Mama Ereko, and Mide Martins.
