How Peter Obi was saved from mob by co-pilot

A massive crowd came out to welcome Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, on Thursday, January 12, during his campaign rally in Enugu ahead of the general election.

The campaign took the LP flagbearer to his alma mater, the University of Nigerian Nsukka, where he was got mobbed by the crowd.

A video making rounds, showed how a large crowd mobbed the presidential candidate, fortunately, he got whisked away by a co-pilot of a helicopter who was waiting to fly him out of the state.

His security detailed was also overpowered as the co-pilot grabbed Peter Obi by the hand and hurriedly led him into the aircraft.

These supporters were seen making attempts to touch the former governor of Anambra state as they chant his name.

Peter Obi who felt the love from the crowd, smiled and waved back at the people.

Reacting to the video, some people said;

Ephy: The security guys were overwhelmed, thank God for the crew member, he was smart & focused. Timed our man well, snatched & placed him safely within the chopper. Our man really felt the love of the people & was a bit hesitant to leave them behind. Emotional show.
