Nigerian celebrities have taken social media to be a playground where they can kill the boredom caused by the COVID-19 lockdown.

The lockdown which was declared by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), affects Lagos, Abuja and Ogun State.

Some celebrities like Toyin Abraham, Peter Okoye, Don Jazzy, DJ Jimmy Jatt etc have rendered support to Nigerians by doing giveaways.

MyNigeria.com confirms that their fans and followers on social media had their bank account credited with money to help them brace through the lockdown period.

This was the beginning of making use of social media to kill boredom in the lockdown period which led to different challenges on the various platforms e.g #stayathomechallenge.

Next was a battle between Nigerian music producers which saw SARS going against Shizzi, Masterkraft against Pheels Mr Producer etc.

While other music producers were battling to be the best, Kiddominant was on social media hosting a twerk challenge between South African girls and Nigerian girls.

The judges of the challenge include IG comedian Mr Macaroni and rapper Cassper Nyovest.

Burna Boy who is not a fan of social media decided to while away time by having a Q&A session with his fans. This didn't end well as he was forced to abandon Twitter after he was found annoying by Nigerians.

Music executive, Ubi Franklin decided to make use of the COVID-19 lockdown to interview celebrities knowing fully well that they will have no excuse not to grant him audience.

One of his interviews led to a call out from BBNaija's Tacha who slammed him to the point that he had to respond by making a mockery of her alleged body odour.

The way other celebrities killed boredom must have appeared as child's play to Funke Akindele who decided to take it up a notch by throwing a house party.

The house party which had her husband JJC Skills in attendance and rapper Naira Marley, saw Funke Akindele getting arrested.

She was arrested by authorities for breaking the lockdown and social distancing order by throwing a party with over 50 people present.

We hope no other celebrity is thinking about taking it up a notch from what she did in a bid to kill boredom.
