A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Joe Igbokwe, has ascribed the progress witnessed in Lagos today to President Bola Tinubu.
According to him, Tinubu laid the foundation for most of the state's development when he was the governor from 1999 to 2007.
Igbokwe made this known in a Facebook post titled 'How I Wish That Nigerians Know This Man Very Well.'
He said, "Whatever the progress, the innovations, the transformations, the new look of Lagos etc, you see today, please take notice, PBAT laid the foundations from 1999 to 2026. I remember the master plan he put on the table, the reforms, the creation of multiple agencies and parastatals.
"I was the pioneer General Manager of one of the new Agencies called LAGOS STATE INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE AND REGULATORY AGENCY, LASIMRA, to regulate Telecom Companies. He introduced LAASA to regulate the SINAGE AGENCY, the REVENUE AGENCY, BRT, Judiciary Reforms, etc
"These multiple agencies are still thriving today. Lagos revenue generation multiplied in great numbers. Road infrastructure improved dramatically. LASTMA, LAWMA, etc got heavy tractions under his tenure. He brought too many innovations that everybody is enjoying in Lagos today. We call PBAT the master strategist."
