'History is made' - Otedola excited at the inauguration of Dangote refinery

Nigerian business magnate, Femi Otedola says history is about to be made in Nigeria's energy sector with the soon-to-be inaugurated Dangote Refinery.

Otedola made this known in a tweet on Sunday, May 21 after his visit to the facility.

The Dangote refinery, Africa's largest oil refinery is set to be inaugurated on Monday, May 22, 2023

The project, which is worth $19 billion, is an integrated refinery and petrochemical project.

The refinery is equipped to produce about 650,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) and to generate 9500 direct jobs and 25,000 indirect jobs as well as contribute to the improvement of the country’s economy.

Ahead of the commissioning, Otedola, in the tweet, shared photos of his visit with Aliko Dangote, president of the Dangote Group, and some sections of the project.

“Countdown to the commissioning of the world’s biggest refinery tomorrow. History is made, ” Otedola tweeted.
