Hilarious reactions as Wike attends his first PDP meeting since 2023 election

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, held its national caucus meeting in Abuja.

It had the presence of the presidential candidate of the party in the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike and Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara among others.

The meeting comes ahead of the party's National Executive Committee meeting, which is set to hold on Thursday, April 18.

According to reports, this is the first time the former Rivers state governor will be attending a meeting of the PDP since the presidential election in 2023.

Wike has been known to be in disagreement with the leadership of the party causing him not to support the candidacy of Atiku, in the 2023 polls.

Also, Wike’s decision to serve under President Bola Tinubu heightened the rift.

The meeting is said to discuss issues pertaining to Wike’s activities and the leadership of the party as well as the battle between Fubara and his predecessor Wike in Thursday’s NEC meeting.
