2023 Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore has described the incoming government which is led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the real Hell fire.

According to him, President Muhammadu Buhari ran a terrible regime and although he apologised to Nigerians for not fulfilling his promises, his crimes are beyond apology and he will pay for them.

Sowore said this during a recent interview while at the Federal High Court.

He noted that he feared Tinubu's government might be worse than what Buhari left behind.

"Elections are over and they have selected another president for Nigeria, that is part of the reason why we get prosecuted and persecuted all the time by the political class is because we don't agree with their method of doing things that do not work for Nigerians.

And this very terrible regime led by Buhari will be leaving. According to him, he apologised last week for the crimes he committed against Nigerians. My responds is that his crimes are beyond apology. He must pay for them....We are not yet out, we are just moving from frying pan to another phase of it to the bottom of another fire. This one might actually be real Hell fire such that the next four years people might be saying Buhari was a better human being.

The human right activist called out the police force for their constant harrassment and prosecution of Nigerians.

He warned them to desist from such act and stop being used by the politicians else they will regret what they have done.

"To those of our friends in law enforcement some of you have been used constantly to harass, insult, and assault fundamental freedom of others. Some of you are not taking salaries, some of you are no longer safe in this country, some of you are going to retire without benefit. Its just a matter of time, all of you will regret what you did against people like us.

We have nowhere else to go, I don't have a Guinean passport, a passport from Sudan, or Niger where Buhari said he will run away to. I only have a Nigerian Passport and its being detained in here at the Federal High Court," Sowore added.
