'He should pay us to defend him' - Davido's fans demand payment amid recent beef with barber

Following his recent online argument with an Abuja barber, fans of popular artist Davido have lamented having to defend him all the time.

The musician was recently arrested after getting into a battle with the Abuja barber who attacked him and declared that Wizkid was his idol.

Many of Davido's followers expressed their annoyance at having to always stand up for the singer following his involvement in numerous scandals.

They stated that Davido didn't care about how his fans feel and added that the singer ought to pay them every two weeks for them to defend him.

The Afrobeats musician seems to have one of the most devoted fan bases among Nigerian celebrities, as seen by the fact that despite his frequent involvement in scandals, his supporters never waver.

Many people believed that after Davido's side-chick controversy in 2023, his followers would reject him and lose faith in him, but that wasn't the case. Through the controversy, Davido's supporters stood by him and battled for him.

Recently, a video of Davido pleading on his knees with an Atlanta-based stylist to have an intimate relationship with him went viral. The video generated a stir on social media, with many criticizing the musician.
