Arise Television Morning Show co-host, Dr Reuben Abati, has described Edo North Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, as a “master masseur” following a viral video that allegedly shows the former labour leader massaging the foot of a young woman.
Dr Abati made the remark while speaking on What’s Trending with Ogy, where he reacted humorously to the video, which has generated widespread discussion on social media. He also hailed the former Edo State governor for what he described as his virility at the age of 73.
His comments followed the circulation of a video purportedly showing Senator Oshiomhole sharing an intimate moment with a woman who was later identified online as a South African content creator.
Speaking in what he framed as a defence of the senator, Dr Abati said the footage, if authentic, simply added another dimension to Oshiomhole’s public persona.
“Speaking in defence of Senator Adams Oshiomhole, just in case it is true, you know media managers are trying to manage things. Senator Adams Oshiomhole is 73 years old. We know him as a labour leader, a political leader, a two-time governor, a party chairman, and now a distinguished senator of the Federal Republic. If this is true, he has just added another credential to his portfolio — that of a master masseur,” Abati said.
He added that the act shown in the video involved the massaging of a young woman’s foot, whom he described as attractive and self-identified as an adult content creator.
Abati further remarked that the incident, if genuine, was a testament to Oshiomhole’s vitality at an advanced age, contrasting it with what he described as the declining confidence of many younger men. He made a light-hearted reference to Grammy Award-winning artist Tyler, The Creator’s song Push to Start during the commentary.
Meanwhile, Senator Oshiomhole’s media office has dismissed the viral video as false.
In a statement released on Sunday and signed by Embassy-Oseni Momodu on behalf of the senator’s media office, the video was described as fake, misleading, and a poorly edited, AI-generated fabrication.
The statement alleged that the clip was created as part of a blackmail attempt aimed at tarnishing the senator’s reputation, describing it as a desperate and malicious act by individuals seeking relevance through misinformation.
The media office maintained that Senator Oshiomhole was being unfairly targeted and urged the public to disregard the video and accompanying narratives circulating online.
