Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo has been called out by netizens after he shared a video of himself observing Hajj in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

In the video, Adebayo urged fellow Muslims in Nigeria who want to go on pilgrimage to Mecca to start preparing for the next edition.

The video didn't sit well with netizens on X, who called him out in the comment section.

An X user, @Ayoola0527, said, "I think it’s time we have to start putting y’all in your places and let you know that we now understand better than we used to.

"Y’all need to start creating movies about the life of the prophet Muhammad instead of using our ancestral histories to gain fame and make money, only to start taking gigs and giving glory to the Arabian deities. Our tolerance towards these stories from the film industries is affecting Yoruba culture and traditions negatively.

"Start making films about how Muhammad married a six-year-old girl and consummated the marriage at nine, when Muhammad himself was 57 years old.

"Make movies about how he married his adopted son’s wife, Zainab, who was Muhammad’s cousin. Make movies about how he killed a newly wedded groom and got married to the bride. Make movies about how he claimed he was sent by the creator of the universe to fight against the people who do not believe in him. Make movies about how the creator of the world was giving war commands against other creatures at a particular period of time.

"Enough is enough, y’all should stop being a tool to conquer aboriginal people both physically and mentally around the world."
