Gwagwalada Area Council includes Compensation Layout Road in 2020 budget

The 1.2 km road leading to Phase 4, Compensation Layout, Gwagwalada, is to be included in this year’s budget of the Gwagwalada Area Council.

The Chairman of the Council, Adamu Mustapha Danze, disclosed this when residents of phase 4 community at the Layout paid him a courtesy visit.

The Chairman stated that road constructions currently going on in Gwagwalada were the initiatives of his administration and said the construction works at the road from the market to the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria junction will soon commence.

Adamu Mustapha Danze praised the Phase 4 community for embarking on community development projects and asked other communities in Gwagwalada to emulate the example.

On the registration of Associations by the Area Council, the Chairman stated that no two Associations bear the same name, adding the one that first registered will be given priority.

Earlier, the Chairman of Resident Landlords at phase 4, Professor Owojecho Omoha who led the delegation told the Area Council boss that the community always experience hardship as the road becomes impassable during the rains.

Professor Omoha said the community was currently taxing the members to make the roads motorable and called on Gwagwalada Area Council to construct the road leading to the major road.

The community leader told the Chairman that an Association calling itself Residents of Old Kutunku currently uses the name of the Association of Residents at Compensation Layout, and called on the Area Council to correct the anomalies.
