Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ), a group loyal to the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has expressed its intention to drag the APC stalwart to court should he delay in declaring his presidential ambitions.

According to Legit.ng, the DOJ is a merger of 12 political and socio-cultural groups working towards the actualization of Tinubu’s presidency come 2023.

The national president of the group, Comrade Abdulhakeem Alawuje, described Tinubu as the most qualified politician to vie for the presidency in 2023.

He said if the APC leader fails to contest, a suit would be instituted to compel him to vie for the presidency. Alawuje described Tinubu as the only trusted politician capable of building on the legacies of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Meanwhile, President Buhari has refuted claims of an alleged rift between himself and the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu.

The president through a signed statement described Bola Tinubu as "one of the most respected political leaders in the country who has stuck to his principles in the face of all adversities."

In the statement released on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, the President also described Tinubu as being "instrumental to the formation, growth and development of the APC into a formidable political party and the political alliance is waxing even stronger."

"Recent reports of a rift between the two leaders of our party are false; the handiwork of some media mischief-makers. Unfortunately, certain media sections feed on birthing controversies, providing a nexus for naysayers who work behind the scenes planting such false stories.

"This administration is aware of pessimists and cynics who willfully spread misinformation to create doubts in the minds of the people about the relationship between its leaders and whether the party will remain intact or not.
