Group congratulates Akeredolu on re-election

A group, the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Crusade Organisation (ABATCO), has congratulated Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) on his victory in last Saturday’s poll.

It said in a statement in Lagos on Sunday, October 11, 2020 that Nigeria’s democracy was evolving gradually with the process getting better, as confirmed by international and local observers, who monitored the election.

ABATCO National Convener Comrade, Ayeni Oluwaseun hailed the stakeholders, especially the Independent National Electoral Commissioner (INEC), politicians, parties and security personnel for playing according to the rules of the game, which made the process more credible with equity and fairness to all, which was responsible for the calmness and peace across the length and breadth of Ondo State.

The body, however, urged Governor Akeredolu to run all-inclusive and participatory governance with a premium placed on the well-being of everyone, for more progress and development of the state, “which should be his priority in accordance with the expression of the people at the polls.”

It praised All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership sagacity and electoral prowess that was put to test with the positive outcome recorded for the party at the polls.

The group thanked other party leaders for the unity of purpose and resilience demonstrated before and during the election.

Other political gladiators within the rank and file of the party were also appreciated.

“This victory is for the continuity of progressive governance in Ondo State,” ABATCO said.

It advised stakeholders to ensure the unity of Southwest towards the 2023 agenda.
