He stated that on Thursday in Lagos, while chairing the seventh edition of the You Can Be Their Eyes Bible Quiz competition, organised by the Bible Society of Nigeria for blind students in secondary schools.

“I want the government to give us more recognition, especially jobs. There is no point in training the blind without giving them jobs. We need to work.

“We need to provide for our families. So, that is the area that I think the government should really come in more,” he emphasised.

He noted that though the current administration had made efforts to improve the welfare of PWDs in the country, there was a need for it to do more.

“The government, I must say, is really doing better now than before. The government is realising that they are the blind people are part of Nigeria. They are trying, but they can do more with the acts that they provided. Our late President Buhari gave us the People with Disability Act. So, we’ll get there one day,” Yeniki explained.
