Governor Wike sacks Commissioner for Environment

Reports indicate that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has sacked the commissioner for environment, Dr Igbiks Tamuno.

Although the reason for dismissing Dr Tamuno of his duties as the Commissioner is yet to be disclosed.

It has been revealed that the commissioner was in the middle of a press briefing at his ministry at the time the message was delivered.

Dr Tamuno has however been ordered to tender all government documents and properties in his possession before leaving.
