Governor Wike absent as Gov Okowa is unveiled PDP VP nominee

The Peoples Democratic Party earlier today announced Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as the running mate of Atiku Abubakar.

Okowa was said to beat Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Emmanuel Udom to emerge as the vice presidential candidate of PDP.

At the announcement of the VP, Nyesom Wike was reported to have been absent at the PDP secretariat.

During Okowa's acceptance speech, he indicated that he had seen present with him the Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Governor of Bauchi State and Edo state Governor.

However, Wike is yet to speak on Okowa emerging Atiku's running mate.
