Government will support you – Ekiti First Lady assures female chiefs

Ekiti State Governor’s wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, has reassured the Ekiti people of her commitment and support for women in the state.

Dr Oyebanji gave the assurance in Ado Ekiti while playing host to female traditional chieftaincy titleholders, Eyelobirin.

The first lady appreciated the group’s visit and said her office would ensure collaboration with them for the overall development of the state.

While promising the women that she would table their request before Governor Abiodun Oyebanji, the first lady solicited their prayers and support for the success of the current administration.

Speaking on behalf of the team, the president of the female titleholders, Chief Bolanle Owolabi, said the purpose of the visit was to show solidarity with the wife of the governor and pledge their support to the Oyebanji administration.

She called for more recognition for the Eyelobirin titleholders both at the local and state government levels, noting that they are capable of mobilising the womenfolk in their various communities towards galvanising support for the government on its various developmental projects.
