Florence Ajimobi, the wife of the deceased former governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, has said that the present governor of the state, Seyi Makinde, didn't call to reach out to her when her husband died..

Florence stated this amid traded blames on the delay in the burial of the former governor who was finally laid to rest today.

Addressing family members, Florence stated that she only read in the papers that Makinde called her after her husband's death.

"He didn't call me, but he claimed he did", she said.

"Even if he had called me I didn't pick up, I never had his number, I've never spoken to him on the phone. He could have sent me a text message for record purposes".

She also said that she's not making this revelation as a way of tarnishing the governor's image.

"I'm just putting records straight because this is a family of politicians. I don't want anybody to tarnish my husband's image. And I'm just saying this. I don't want to tarnish his image (the governor). My husband has been buried, he's gone. It could be me tomorrow, it could be any of us. Life is short and it's all vanity upon vanity", she said.
