Gov Bello, Sule, others to reconcile aggrieved members

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has nominated Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, to lead a seven-man reconciliatory committee to bring all aggrieved groups and individuals in the party together ahead of the Area Council elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Engr Abdullahi Sule is a member, and Olaide Akinremi will serve as secretary, according to the letter of appointment signed on Sunday in Abuja by the National Secretary, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) John J ames Akpanudoedehe, also known as the Nasarawa State Governor. 

Ahmed Yusuf Yusuf, Dr. James Lalu, Cletus Dick, and Uche Ogah are among the committee's other members.

In accordance with the terms of the APC party's constitution and the pattern for the reconciliation/mobilization committee, the Committee is required to reconcile sections of the party in the FCT.

"Mai Mala Buni, the CECPC's National Chairman, has approved the formation of a reconciliation committee following the nomination of our Party's candidates for the upcoming FCT Area Council Elections."

"Among other things, the Committee is expected to identify persons who may have taken issue with the conduct of the exercise (s), issues in contention (if any), and take practical steps to reconcile and harmonize all such persons and issues in time for a satisfactory outcome in the FCT Area Council Elections," according to the party.
