Goodluck Jonathan a true democrat – Northern Governors

Northern Governors Forum on Friday sent a birthday message to former President, Goodluck Jonathan on his 63rd birthday.

They lauded him for serving Nigeria with zeal and commitment.

The Chairman and Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, in a statement by his spokesman, Makut Macham, described Jonathan as a true democrat.

He noted that the former Bayelsa State Governor’s passion for the growth of democracy was reflected not only in his records in office, but also in his current international engagements.

Lalong observed that Jonathan has successfully monitored elections in many countries and engaged with top stakeholders.

The governors commended the former President for his patriotism and dedication to the unity, peace and development of Nigeria.

They urged him to remain focused in his service “which has brought honour and goodwill to Nigeria”.

The forum wished Jonathan many more years of good health, peace and happiness.
