Trabzonspor interim coach Hüseyin Çimşir has provided a positive update on Paul Onuachu’s recent injury during Trabzonspor’s last game in the Süper Lig last weekend.

The 32-year-old came off the pitch before half-time after scoring twice in Trabzonspor’s 5-0 thrashing of Gençlerbirliği.

The Nigerian international was replaced by Franculino Dju on the stroke of half-time after sustaining an injury.

Onuachu’s injury raised concerns over the availability of key attacking personnel for the Super Eagles ahead of the upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau, considering that Osimhen had earlier sustained an injury while playing for Galatasaray.

However, Trabzonspor interim coach Çimşir has allayed those fears, saying that Onuachu will be available for the club in their next game.

“I don’t think it’s anything serious. There’s no problem,” Çimşir was quoted as saying by NTV Spor.

Trabzonspor will be hoping to maintain their winning momentum when they travel to Konyaspor for their next league fixture.
