Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, founder of Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries, has declared that his church will begin holding Sunday services in Abuja, abstaining from collecting offerings in accordance with divine guidance.

According to Church Times on Tuesday, he announced this in an online message they observed. In a video posted on Sunday, January 11, Oyedepo emphasized that his ministry’s goal is to disciple and equip followers of Jesus rather than focus on conventional financial practices.

Addressing the financial aspect, he explained that “God gave me specific instructions not to collect offerings." While acknowledging that other ministries may practice this differently, he insisted that for his assignment, the focus must remain entirely on the spiritual growth of the congregation.

This announcement coincides with the launch of weekly Sunday services in Abuja.

“All Jesus did during his early ministry was to make disciples; the fire fell, and they were filled and refilled. Before He left, He commanded us to do the same,” he stated.

He emphasised that spiritual growth needs a' consistent journey” through the Word of God, questioning, ' How healthy would our churches be if people were truly deep in the Scriptures?”

Born on February 26, 1985, the younger Oyedepo officially launched his independent ministry on November 28, 2023.

This step came after years of devoted service at Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), the worldwide ministry founded by his father, Bishop David Oyedepo.
