Gbajabiamila, Wase, others bid Maitala tearful goodbye

House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, his deputy Idris Wase, relations and political associates on Saturday witnessed the burial of Haruna Maitala in Jos, capital of Plateau State.

Maitala, who represented Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, died in an auto crash on Friday with his son and two aides.

He was on his way to Jos for the wedding of his son when the incident occurred.

Maitala was buried around 2:15 pm in a funeral ceremony presided over by Mallam Sani Yahaya Jangre.
