Ganduje, Fashola, others meet August 5 over nation’s unity

To sustain Nigeria’s corporate existence, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State and other eminent personalities will meet on August 5 in Abuja to brainstorm.

At the one-day event themed “Sustaining United and Indivisible Nigeria: A myth or Reality,” Ganduje is to give a keynote address to be discussed by a five-man panel that includes erstwhile Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, Minister of Works and Housing, Raji Fashola, Senator Peter Nwaboshi, Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hajia Ramatu Tijjani-Aliyu and Senator Opeyemi Bamidele.

The lecture series, initiated by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Press Corps, is to contribute to the intellectual development of the nation’s democracy.

A statement yesterday in Abuja by Chairman, Organising Committee of the corps, Babatunde Ayeni, said the party’s Chairman, Caretaker Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, would chair the occasion.
