Galatasaray vice president Abdullah Kavukcu has disclosed that the club is prepared to go the extra mile to sign Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal.
According to Kavukcu, the Turkish giants are ready to pay Osimhen’s release clause to secure his long-term future at the club.
The Super Eagles striker has a release clause of €75 million.
Osimhen has been in excellent form since joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli last September.
The 26-year-old has racked up 36 goals and provided eight assists in 40 competitive appearances for the Yellow and Reds this season.
The Napoli loanee has drawn interest from several clubs across Europe, but Galatasaray remains confident they can secure his signature to extend his stay at Rams Park.
“We talked to my president about Osimhen in January,” Kavukcu said, per A Spor.
“We told Osimhen in January, ‘We want you very much; don’t go anywhere. We are working to secure your transfer.’
“We are developing projects for this. We built them to sit at that table, and we are at that table right now. We are ready to finalize his transfer and pay the salaries he would receive in Europe.”
