Galatasaray defender Davinson Sanchez has praised the club’s attacking depth following their emphatic 3-0 victory over Fatih Karagümrük in the second week of the Turkish Süper Lig.
The Turkish champions, who recently completed a record-breaking €75 million permanent move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, showcased their new attacking trident in Friday’s clash at Rams Park.
Goals from Barış Alper Yılmaz, Mauro Icardi, and an own goal from Fatih Kurucuk sealed the win, with Karagümrük reduced to ten men early in the game.
Osimhen, making his much-anticipated second debut after last season’s successful loan spell, came off the bench alongside Icardi, as head coach Okan Buruk continues to ease the duo back to full match fitness.
Leroy Sané, another arrival, also featured as Galatasaray displayed the strength of their revamped forward line.

Speaking after the game, former Tottenham Hotspur defender Sanchez praised the collective spirit in the squad.
“We’re delighted to have Mauro Icardi back. The team isn’t just Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi; Leroy Sané has arrived, and everyone is doin g a fantastic job. We’re all fighting together for Galatasaray’s goals.” he said as cited by Fotomac.
The win leaves Galatasaray in strong early-season form as they aim to defend their Süper Lig crown and make a statement in the UEFA Champions League.
Osimhen, who helped Galatasaray to a league and cup double during his loan stint, is expected to reclaim a regular starting role later this month when the Lions face Kayserispor.
