'GOAT' status or stunt? - Reactions as Toyin Abraham storms FilmOne Exhibition Showcase with live goats

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham turned heads at the FilmOne Exhibition Showcase on Thursday, October 29, 2026, after arriving at the venue with four live goats in tow as an unconventional promotional stunt for her upcoming movie, Bestie.

Footage of the spectacle quickly circulated across social media platforms, showing handlers guiding the animals through the red carpet area and into the event space, where they roamed freely among the seats while Abraham and her crew looked on.

The stunt serves as a lead-up to the cinema release of Bestie, which is scheduled to hit the big screen on December 16, 2026, and boasts veteran actor Pete Edochie among its cast members.

The timing of Abraham’s entrance added intense dramatic flair to the event, coinciding with a high-profile appearance by rival filmmaker Funke Akindele. Akindele arrived at the same showcase backed by an entourage of celebrities to promote her own major December release, The Four: No One Fights Alone, which debuts five days prior to Bestie.

The side-by-side promotional displays have heightened anticipation within the industry, signaling what is shaping up to be a fiercely contested festive box-office season between two of Nollywood's biggest box-office heavyweights.

As expected, Abraham's live-animal entrance sharply divided opinions online.
Many fans interpreted the stunt as a tongue-in-cheek play on Abraham’s self-styled "GOAT" (Greatest of All Time) status in the industry, praising her bold and unorthodox marketing creativity.

Conversely, other social media users questioned the practicality and appropriateness of bringing livestock into an indoor corporate exhibition space, with some expressing bewilderment over the strategy.
