Fuel subsidy: Akeredolu orders total clampdown on fuel stations hoarding PMS

The Ondo State Government has declared an immediate and total clampdown on unscrupulous fuel stations hoarding the Premium Motor Spirit.

The state government through the Special Task Force inaugurated by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu also noted that the hoarding has been causing excruciating pains on residents of the state.

The leader of the Task Force and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Dr. Doyin Odebowale, disclosed this on Thursday while addressing journalists on the development.

Governor Akeredolu on Wednesday had directed the Task Force to move around the state and deal decisively with any fuel station found hoarding the product and causing excruciating pains on the citizens.

The alleged hoarding by fuel stations in the state is as a result of the aftermath of the announcement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu suspending the regime on fuel subsidy on May 29, 2023.
