#FreeKanu: Omoyele Sowore demands Nnamdi Kanu's release

Publisher and activist, Omoyele Sowore, has taken to social media to shown his support to the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

He took to his Facebook page and called for his release, thereby creating an hashtag '#FreeKanu'.

Nnamdi Kanu was rearrested on Sunday, June 27, 2021 and arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, June 29 to continue his trial after jumping bail in September 2017.

According to reports, Kanu will be in the custody of the Department of the State Security (DSS) until July 26.

Reacting to this, Sowore in a post asked if demanding for self determination is a crime and called for Nnamdi Kanu's release.
