Former senate president Lawan loses mum at 86

The family of former President of the Senate, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan have disclosed the passing of their beloved mother, Hajiya Halima Ibrahim.

This was revealed in a statement issued on saturday, October 14, by Ezrel Tabiowo, the Media Adviser to Lawan.

According to the statement, Senator Lawan’s mother died on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at her residence in Gashu’a town, at the age of 86.

Parts of the statement read: “Senator Ahmad Lawan appreciates the outpouring of love and support already received from friends, relatives, and colleagues”

Hajiya Halima Ibrahim will be buried according to Islamic rites on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Gashu’a town by 11am.
