Former President Buhari departs Abuja, jets off to Daura

Former President Muhammadu Buhari is currently on his way out of Abuja. He is flying to his home state Daura, Kastina state where he will reside following the end of his tenure.

This comes shortly after he left the Eagles Square where he was present to witness the swearing in ceremony of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Report states that Buhari will fly in plane 001 exclusively meant for Nigerian President for the last time as he departs Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja.

May 29 marked the end of Buhari's tenure and a new beginning for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the 16th Nigerian President.

Tinubu was flanked by his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, former President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha Buhari, stood behind Tinubu as he swore an oath.

Also, the former governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima, was sworn in as the 16th Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He was accompanied by his wife.

Several top personalities, world leaders were present to witness the inauguration of President Bola Tinubu.
