Former Oyo Military Governor, Gen Olurin is dead

A former military governor of Oyo State, General Adetunji Idowu Olurin (retd.), is dead.

According to Tribune, the 76-year-old from Ilaro, in Ogun State, died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba, Lagos State.

Details about his death were still sketchy at the time of filing this report.

He was the Military Governor of Oyo State from 1985 to 1988.

He was thereafter Director of Logistics at the Nigerian Army Headquarters.

Olurin was also a former governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Ogun State.
