Foreign construction firm paid bandits for protection in Nigeria - Mahi Shehu alleges

Renowned Northern activist Mahdi Shehu has asked Nigerians to learn from a Lebanese engineer who was seen in a video having a friendly chat with notorious bandits in Zamfara state.

Sharing a video on his X page, Shehu alleged that a foreign construction firm has paid bandits in advance for protection and tranquility.

According to Shehu, the Lebanese engineer captured in the video hanging out with armed bandits is heading a road dualization project in Zamfara state.

Mahdi stated that the bandit with the dreadlocks named Mai Jakka, is a wanted terrorist, responsible for most kidnappings, rape, killing and maiming of people along Sokoto-Gusau road.

He expressed his disappointments at Jakka walking freely despite his atrocities. He also questioned the purpose of the multi-billion Naira drones.

The activist warned that those who can afford to pay for personal safety along the highways should contact the Lebanese engineer.

He wrote on x;

Funnily, he is walking freely, prompting one to ask about the purpose of the multi-billion Naira drones. Same drones that were deployed and killed innocent souls on religious celebrations.

Those can afford to pay for personal safety and protection along highways should contact the Lebanese Engineer and learn the art and skills of negotiating with armed non state actors.”
