First photos as voting gets underway in Kogi, Bayelsa, Imo

The of-cycle elections in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo states have been described as one the fiercest as electorates vote in their next governors.

Daily Trust reports that the exercise is yet to start across many polling units within Lokoja.

Per photos cited by MyNigeria, security agencies and voters are on the ground waiting for the official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who has yet to report to duty.

In the Okpoma Registration Area Center, Ward 4, the sorting of election materials is still ongoing.

In Imo state, these are the 27 local government areas where voting will hold

Aboh Mbaise, Ahiazu Mbaise, Ehime Mbano, Ezinihite-Mbaise, Ideato North, Ideato South, Ihitte/Uboma, Ikeduru, Isiala Mbano, Isu, Mbaitoli, Ngor-Okpala, Njaba, Nkwerre, Nwangele, Obowo, Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema, Okigwe, Onuimo, Orlu, Orsu, Oru East, Oru West, Owerri Municipal, Owerri North and Owerri West.
