Fire breaks out at Nigerian Army Headquarters

The Nigerian Army reported a fire outbreak at its headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday morning, March 2, 2021.

According to NTA, A spokesperson for the army, Brigadier General Muhammed Yerima, said the incident occurred at about 10.15am.

He said the fire outbreak was caused by a minor electrical fault in one of the offices.

General Yerima disclosed that the fire was put out by the Nigerian Army Fire Service Department.

He stated that the Army Headquarters complex is currently undergoing renovation.
