Finish all road constructions before I leave office in May - Wike warns foreign contractor

Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike has warned a foreign contractor to ensure all the roads assigned to him for construction are completed in due time.

According to him, all payments have been made and he expects no variation of work will be applied as he plans to fulfil all his promises he made before he leaves office in May 29, 2023.

Wike made this known during his speech when he broke grounds for the construction of Alode Onne, Alode Internal Roads.

The Rivers Governor was of the view that he plan to leave no problem for his successor. Adding that all works he set out to do, he will accomplish them before the end of his tenure.

"This job is six months, the money I've paid you, the mobilization I'm paying you again next week. You have to finish this job, If you like go and bring your super power. Don't do variation here. I'm going to commission these roads before I leave May 29, 2023. I'm not going to leave anything for my successor. Let him start with his own problem. Let me go with my own problem. Everybody carry your problem and go," Wike said.

Present at the ground breaking ceremony is the former Governor of Rivers State, Donald Duke and the rivers state Deputy, Dr. Ipalibo Harry-Banigo.
