The Media Aide to the Osun State Governor on Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), Sola Isola have dismissed rumours making the rounds about the neglect of fibre optics cables at the entrance of the Osun State House of Assembly.

Rumours have bee rife that the government had gone back on its promise of opening the state to internet connectivity through the laying of the cables.

The cables according to Isola will enhance 5G connectivity in the state.

Isola, in a SMS in response to queries by MyNigeria relied that the cables were not dumped in front of the House of Assembly but were being laid across the state.

Disclosing that the stockpile was being replenished as it was being used up he added that the ones at the entrance of the Assembly were new ones recently kept there.

"It is not lying there since March. They are laying the cable around the state, I'm sure you have seen it in town.

"They are dropping new ones there when they are brought so they don't run out of materials."

The state government had explained in March during the marking of its 100 days in office that ICT was amongst one of the achievements ot and to leave behind in office.
