Feminism is doing more harm than good to women - Nigerian lady writes

A Nigerian woman Identified as Tabugbo Violet Amaka has stated that feminism has done more harm than good to Nigerian women.

She advised feminist to save themselves the stress as they are fighting an impossible mission.

Not many people have agreed with her.

The feminism movement has no doubt remained one of the most controversial topic in today's society as many people, including Amaka continue to kick against it.

In a post shared to her Facebook page, the lady explained that feminism has done more harm than good to Nigerian women especially those that are yet to get married.

According to her, feminism cannot thrive in Nigeria.

Amaka went on to add that the more one practices feminism, the more harm one brings to themselves mentally. For Amaka, there are cultural beliefs to be upheld.

"There are some decisions and actions women are not allowed to make or take no matter how rich and educated you are as a woman in Nigeria," she wrote.

Another part of her post read: "We are not white people, we are Africans. Most of the things they do doesn't work for us. Till Jesus comes, equality will never be adopted here in Nigeria."



Also, Nigerian pastor, Kingsley Okonkwo, has joined the feminism movement conversation and from the look of it, he is clearly not in support of gender equality.

Starting off the conversation by saying the way boys are raised is very different from girls as the boys need more direction, he went on to say male and female are not the same, claiming this is backed by scripture, science and statistics.

According to him, the feminism movement is backed by sentiments. Okonkwo described the movement as one influenced by Satan. According to him, the devil is using broken people who witnessed abuse or had absentee fathers, to push for gender equality.
