Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola has paid a courtesy visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in France.

The philanthropist, who described Tinubu as his ‘great friend’, prayed that Tinubu will get his heart desire to be the next president.

On his verified Twitter page, he tweeted: “I am always excited visiting my Great Friend Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu @officialABAT

“May God grant him his heart’s desire in becoming the President of this great Nation …F.Ote”

His post is perceived by many as an endorsement of the APC candidate who will face former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party's Peter Obi.

The visit comes after it was rumored that the PDP stalwart and Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike had seen Tinubu in France. The reason for the visit to date is unknown, however, there are speculations that Wike who is currently at loggerheads with the leadership of his party might defect to the ruling party.

While Tinubu is yet to select a substantive running mate, Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has disclosed that Bola Tinubu is in a dilemma in his quest to pick a suitable running mate for the 2023 elections.

The Governor said the factors he has to consider have made it quite difficult for the former Lagos State governor to pick a vice-presidential candidate.

Not mentioning the issue of religion which has formed much of the public debate among Nigerians, Governor Akeredolu centered his argument on zone, loyalty and the area with the highest votes, as he listed the factors that have left the APC flagbearer racking his brain.

He made the comments on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday evening.
